Admissions Open for Diploma in Biomedical Instrumentation. Programme commences on Monday 1st July 2019

OBJECTIVE

The candidate will be able to:

  • Know the construction and use of medical equipments and devices
  • Operate the instruments optimally
  • Handle advanced and complicated equipments
  • Know the operation, principle and working of equipments
  • Understand the applied engineering aspects of the medical instruments and equipments
  • Maintain and handle the routine troubleshooting of equipments
  • Report the appropriate fault to the company engineers
  • Foster competencies of Medical Technologists in a dynamic environment of ever changing technology

HOW TO APPLY

Admission Procedure for Diploma in Biomedical Instrumentation Program:

STEP I: Download and submit completely filled registration form along with required documents at the institute and make payment of the registration charges. Registration charges are Rs.750/-

STEP II: You will be called Personal Interaction at the institute.

STEP III: Selection will be intimated to candidate through email.

STEP IV: Admission process will be completed after the verification of all the submitted documents and payment of the 1st instalment of academic fees.

ELIGIBILITY

Std. XII pass or equivalent with Diploma/Degree in Allied Health Technology/Engineering or equivalent as decided by competent Authority.
OR
Work experience of 2 years in related field of Medical Technology.
OR
Students in the final year of degree programs in Medical Technology/Allied Health Sciences.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION

The medium of instruction for all the courses shall be English.

TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The program combines classroom instructions and practical training on-campus and in tertiary care hospital equipment industry, etc.

STANDARD OF PASSING

The assessment of the student for each examination is done, based on relative performance. Maximum Grade Point (GP) is 10 corresponding to O (Outstanding). For all courses, a student is required to pass both internal and external examination separately with a minimum Grade Point of 4 corresponding to Grade P.Students securing less than 40% absolute marks in each head of passing will be declared FAIL.The University awards a degree to the student who has achieved a minimum CGPA of 4 out of maximum of 10 CGPA for the programme.

AWARD OF DEGREE

Diploma in Biomedical Instrumentation (DBI) will be awarded at the end of semester II examination by taking into consideration the performance of all semester examinations after obtaining minimum 4.00 CGPA out of 10 CGPA.
