Symbiosis has a proven track record in the field of education, with management education being our flag ship. With changing times, Symbiosis has diversified into other education arenas like computers, law, information technology, geo informatics etc.

Given the paradigm shift which the health care sector is experiencing, health science probably represents the most ideal field for Symbiosis to innovate for it is a domain where there is a constant need to change with the times and continuously review, analyze and upgrade competencies both in the medical profession as well as in management.  The ample opportunities which the health sector presents by way of research, further justify the establishment of the Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS).

The SIHS has an objective of bringing together professionals from diverse disciplines also keeping in mind  the diverse needs of the existing healthcare sector as also new stake holders like the IT sector, the insurance sector, diagnostics , pharma as well fitness industry to design contemporary, need based academic programmes, pertinent to this ever expanding sector. I am sure the institute is ideally poised to pursue this mission of striving for excellence in the field of health sciences which is important to one and all.

Inputs from a number of diverse but inter-related and interdependent fields have enriched the various programme contents and brought them up to date with recent advances in all the related areas of healthcare. These will help the students to evolve into becoming the vital link in the healthcare delivery system of the future.
