Symbiosis International Educational & Cultural Centre was founded in the year 1971 by Padmashree Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, with the objective of promoting International Understanding through Quality Education. Our motto is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakkam”–the World is One Family. In a short span of just over three decades, Symbiosis today is the premiere educational institute of Pune, providing education to over 35,000 students through 174 different academic programmes offered by its 32 academic institutions. Symbiosis is spread over 8 campuses in and around Pune, one each at Kolhapur, Nasik, Noida, Bangalore & Dubai, UAE. At Symbiosis, excellence is our passion.

About Us:
Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), is a constituent of the prestigious Symbiosis International University , SIU Symbiosis International University . SIHS has conceptualized & implemented a group of professional up-gradation programmes meant to equip the healthcare professional with the appropriate tools in order to survive this age of fierce competition and specialisation. The SIHS encourages a symbiosis of thought, word & action of all such professionals who would address the all important issue of health in its totality. Through its unique, innovative, career oriented programmes, SIHS plans to raise a cadre of professionals who would ensure delivery of optimum health care services.
A formal Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with the Maharashtra Medical Foundation (MMF) & Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital & Research Center (DMH), Pune to provide the necessary “hands on” clinical & para clinical experience necessary for the students pursuing these hospital based academic programmes. The Maharashtra Medical Foundation (MMF) manages two hospitals viz. Joshi Hospital & Ratna Hospitals. Both these hospitals and Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital & Research Center are tertiary care hospitals with combined bed strength of 635
A similar arrangement has been made with the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT) to support the courses in sports & fitness.
